John Sautelle

Canberra ACT, Australia

John is energised by his daily work helping create future-fit leaders and teams. He believes to survive and thrive we need leaders with highly evolved capabilities guiding our organisations. John supports leaders who recognise their inner strengths, identify and overcome developmental blind spots and become the best possible version of themselves. They become more confident and capable of navigating an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world. John helps leaders tap into heart, body, mind and spirit to grow themselves and their impact in sustainable and life giving ways.

John brings to our clients more than 35 years’ experience in leadership and organisational development, including 20 years as founder and managing partner of a legal services firm. In the senior leadership space John coaches, designs and delivers experiential development programs. Some interesting projects John has worked on include training action learning coaches in South Africa to work on community problems, assisting Senior Bombay High Court Advocates develop their conflict resolution skills in Mumbai, and working in Dubai with future leaders from around the world.

John is the author of “Choose Your Stories, Change Your Life” which details the developmental change process he has evolved over the past 18 years drawing on the latest research in psychology, neuroscience and adult development. He has also presented at TEDx on the topic of Whose stories are we living? He trains and accredits action learning coaches on behalf of the World Institute of Action Learning and holds certifications in The Leadership Circle 360 and Culture Assessment and the MTQ48 (Mental Toughness) instrument. John is also certified as a Growth Edge Coach.

When he is not working internationally, John lives with his partner Anne in Canberra, the capital of Australia. With four children and two grandchildren he is passionate about family, lifelong learning, fly fishing and creating a better world for future generations.

The work John Sautelle does is very strategic, responsive to our needs and extremely valuable in sorting though complex issues to arrive at effective solutions. It is a pleasure to work with him.
