Laurel’s own journey of growth and development has enabled her to envision a diverse society equipped with the tools and resilience needed to navigate complexity and drive positive change, fostering a more inclusive and equitable landscape where everyone has the opportunity to become catalysts for transformation in their personal and professional lives.
Laurel joined Cultivating Leadership’s Catalyst team early in her career. In her final year pursuing a BA in Psychology and Anthropology at the University of Vermont, she actively conducts research focusing on unraveling the neurobiological mechanisms of stress, emotion, and resilience. Simultaneously, she is undertaking an honors thesis titled “Connectedness to nature, place attachment, and conservation behavior: Environmental education’s impact on young adults”. With a blend of passion for Cultivating Leadership’s work, scholarly pursuits, and a deep curiosity about the interplay between individuals and their environment, Laurel exemplifies a dedicated commitment to personal growth, academic endeavors, and positive societal change.
When not working, Laurel finds solace in the breathtaking landscapes of Burlington, Vermont, which she calls home. She thrives on running and climbing up mountains, embracing the thrill of adventure and the tranquility of nature.
