Jennifer is inspired by leaders who continually strive to improve themselves, and by doing so, transform the world around them. She believes the best leaders operate like Olympic bi-athletes, rapidly switching between skiing at top speed and stilling their entire being to take high-stakes shots. Similarly, Jennifer’s work focuses on honing her client’s ability to perform under pressure by improving their ability to pause and reflect. She draws on her background as a neuroscientist and psychologist to help leaders strengthen their inner mental and emotional world, balancing gut instinct and analytical decision making, and mastering their reactions to complex systems and individuals. Jennifer also works with the ‘mind in the body’, using basic wearable technology and biofeedback to help clients gain new insights from how they breathe, sleep, and move.
Jennifer started her career in academia, as a neuroscientist and experimental psychologist. She later shifted into the business world, joining McKinsey as a management consultant, where she focused on leadership development for healthcare, education and finance executives. Jennifer also has deep line management experience, having managed McKinsey’s global Organization Practice, overseeing a team of over ~100 people across 15+ countries. In her 10 years at McKinsey, she was based in the US and the Netherlands, and worked extensively in the GCC, South Africa, India, Japan, and most of Europe. Furthermore, Jennifer has experience in positive psychology, clinical hypnotherapy, and brain-based coaching and is certified in Leadership Circle Profile for individuals and systems.
Jennifer studied health systems at Harvard, has a Masters of Neuroscience (Magna cum Laude) from Vrije Universiteit van Amsterdam, a Bachelors of Science in Business and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, both Summa cum Laude, from Kansas State University.
Jennifer calls both the US and the UAE home. She has lived in Dubai for the last 10 years, with her husband and two small children. When she isn’t working, Jennifer loves to travel, stay up late talking to old friends, or wake up early and simply enjoy a cup of coffee while the sun rises.
