Mindful Self-Compassion
We live in extraordinarily stressful times. Mindful-Self Compassion is a powerful tool for remaining centered and building resilience in the face of everything that might be coming our way.
Overview
“This course is a great resource for anyone who wants to make small changes with giant impact.”
Overwhelm.
Burn out.
Anxiety.
Impostor Syndrome.
These are just some of the harsh realities many of us face in today’s world.
In six 90-minute sessions, we’ll show you some of the most effective evidence-based tools for navigating the chaotic and often toxic realities of our time. We’ll help you stop blaming yourself. We’ll introduce and practice methods for stopping the incessant worries that keep us up at night. We’ll show you how to bring the same kindness and understanding you offer your friends and loved ones home to yourself.
Our sessions are interactive, fun, and useful. You’ll leave with a whole new personal toolkit for navigating the chaos, breaking the cycle of rumination and catastrophizing, and accessing joy and other restorative energies.
The class will be delivered via Zoom and run for six consecutive weeks. Each session will last 90 minutes
Details
“As a therapist, I thought I was taking this course for my clients. I soon realized that this course was for me.”
The heart of our workshop is based on the evidence-based practices of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). MSC teaches us that we are not alone with our stress and discomfort, that we can overcome self-judgment and shame, and that the restorative powers of self-kindness are always available to us.
Together we will explore:
* The healing power of self-kindness
* Simple mindfulness practices to dissolve shame, stop rumination, and calm your nervous system
* The neuroscience of stress
* Causes of and treatments for burnout
You will leave with hands-on experience and, if you like, a personal practice tailored to your personal needs.
Can you change your entire life in 9 hours? Probably not. But you can discover new tools to access your innate healing capacity, to lower your stress level, and to open yourself to new ways of being.
Won’t you join us?
